About the Ride Moab Industries Family
Tyler and KaLeigh Welch, proud owners of Ride Moab Industries—and even prouder Moab locals. Their family has called this valley home for seven generations, and they're raising the eighth with their sons, Graysen and Taylen. For them, Moab isn’t just a location—it’s a legacy. "Growing up here gave us a deep love for the land, its trails, and the rich stories woven through every canyon and cliff."
Meet Tyler – Owner & Operator
Tyler is a United States Marine Corps combat veteran who served as an active-duty Infantryman from 2003 to 2011. During his military career, he completed two tours in Ar Ramadi, Iraq (2003 & 2007), and one MEU deployment (2005). In 2003, during his first deployment to Ar Ramadi, Tyler was wounded in an IED explosion, sustaining shrapnel injuries to his face.
From 2007 to 2011, Tyler was stationed at the Bridgeport Mountain Warfare Training Center, where he served as a Red Hat Mountain Warfare Instructor. There, he trained Marines, Navy personnel, and Navy SEALs to survive and thrive in the extreme alpine terrain of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This chapter—spent on rugged slopes, in deep snow, and far from comfort—remains his most rewarding and healing experience in uniform.
Following his military service, Tyler transitioned into a career with the National Park Service, where he worked for ten years, bringing his total federal service to 18 years. Despite the stability and benefits, Tyler felt the call to pursue something more—something personal. In April 2021, he left behind the steady rhythm of a 40-hour work week to chase a lifelong dream: building a family-run business rooted in passion, purpose, and Moab’s incredible backcountry.
Riding has been Tyler’s therapy—his outlet, his sanctuary, and now, his gift to others. With a wealth of experience, unmatched terrain knowledge, and a deep love for the ride, Tyler brings clients unforgettable, top-tier dirt bike adventures that are as healing and exhilarating as they are expertly guided.
Meet KaLeigh – Owner & Director of Operations
KaLeigh is the heart and driving force behind Ride Moab Industries. A passionate entrepreneur, she has successfully run KaLeigh Welch Photography since 2011, capturing the stories of families, couples, and travelers who come to experience the magic of Moab. Her creative spirit, combined with years of administrative experience—including her time as a Special Event Coordinator for Grand County—has given her the organizational skills and vision to build and run a multifaceted business.
The idea for Ride Moab Industries was born from KaLeigh’s dream: to create a meaningful path for Tyler after his military and federal service, and to build a legacy their family could grow together. She’s the strategist, the coordinator, the creative, and the glue that keeps everything running.
More than anything, KaLeigh is driven by a desire to share Moab’s beauty and spirit with others. Whether she’s behind the scenes making operations seamless or out front connecting with guests, she’s always working to create experiences that empower, inspire, and connect people to the land—and to each other.
Meet the Boys
Graysen (11) and Taylen (7) are our wild-at-heart next generation. Graysen, lovingly nicknamed “Race’n Graysen,” is better on two wheels than on his own two feet, and Taylen is right behind him, quickly growing into his own adventurous spirit. Both boys started riding dirt bikes at age two and are already following in their dad’s tracks—literally and figuratively.
The Mission
At Ride Moab Industries, our mission is to share the beauty of our hometown and create life-changing dirt bike adventures that leave riders with more than just great photos—they leave with confidence, connection, and unforgettable memories.
We strive to build a thriving community of riders from all walks of life who are seeking something real, raw, and rewarding. Whether you're here for a weekend thrill or a soul-resetting experience, we promise to welcome you like family and guide you through the heart of Moab like only locals can.
So when you're planning your ride through the red rocks, think of us. We're not just building a business—we're building a legacy. And we'd love for you to be part of it.
